What would you highlight about Kubu Loris Residence

For the price good but nothing special

Personell was really nice and the hotel is quite close to the core of the Ubud city area and really close to the rice fields in which you can see a nice sunset.

The rooms equipment wasn't too new and in best shape but overall everything needed was there. The doors aren't really sealed so a bit of wind comes in and some ants could also sneak in.

Okay but could be much better with some small improvements

Quite far from restaurants, had to walk last leg to hotel as pad too narrow for car. Pool needs to be cleaned, did not use as we didn’t trust the hygiene of the water.

good value for money

Breakfast was ok, Bedroom was pleasant and having a view from the 1st floor on the pool. Location being just a bit not in the city center was good since it was more quiet. Laundry service.

The paint on the walls was peeling off and some spotlights didn't work. Then they really need to improve the bathrooms which were very basic, at least a counter for the sink to have a place to put your stuff. The pool didn't look very clean to us... so didn't try Grab taxi can't access the hotel, the road is too tight, so you will need to drag your luggage like 150-200meters depending on where the taxi dropped you and thus have the chance to admire the surrounding landscape !

Amazing stay

We stayed 2 nights and it’s worth the price ! The staff were nice and the room was big enough and confortable. We rented cheap scooter here and cleaned our laundry The location was good because you can walk ti the city center but it is very quiet

Nice breakfast, good aircon. Large single beds, most are hard type mattress. As with a lot of Balinese, need to clean the bathroom more thoroughly with product every week, between guests by scrub and have all grout kept white and glass spotless make a difference. Thanks

A little jungle near the mainstreet of Ubud

Lovely room/residence, it’s a little “jungle”. 10 min walk from the main street, which is really nice because the main street is very busy. We didn’t use the swimming pool but looks fine. You can rent scooters and arrange trips at the place. Every day you can fill in a form for breakfast the day after.

The room near the kitchen was a bit loud. The staff was friendly but didn’t really talk much. It felt like they weren’t really involved with you. Also don’t forget to bring a sleeping mask and earpluggs (which comes in handy for every stay in Bali!)

The atmosphere and the area are quiet. The staff is helpful and informative.

The bathroom area is humid, also the water on the floor couldn’t flow well.

Comfortable, quiet and peaceful

this is a lovely property about 15 mins walk to central Ubud. the staff are super friendly and breakfast is delivered to your room each morning (one plate of food plus a juice). a kettle is provided in the room, as is hand soap. the beds are firm and the air con worked well. the wifi is about as reliable as can be expected in Bali (i.e. very patchy in the morning when everyone is checking their phones between 8-10am!) but otherwise fine. you can rent motorbikes from the owner, and there is a good laundry next door. also, no morning roosters in the neighbourhood to wake you up!

it can be hard to get the last 100 metres to the property in a taxi (car) as the road narrows so much that a car cannot drive it! you have to walk with your luggage to the front door. it isn't far but I was dragging an oversized suitcase lol. sometimes the staff didn't respect my privacy when they asked to clean the room. I had the door shut and a sign on the door (in both Indonesian and English) asking "do not disturb" but they knocked anyway. the rooms are clean but have the usual Bali mould that is inevitable in the bathroom corners etc.

Very Good

Location is good, just out of the chaos but still walking distance to shops, restaurants and cafes. However, the street is very tricky for cars. If you need a car, walk down the road. Pool was pretty good :) Aircon works well. Overall, good for the price.

Average breakfast, I would recommend not including it with the room. Shower was terrible. Stinks due to poor drainage and the water was very uneven.

Wonderful

We loved the bed, room was great, pool nice, staff polite. Also loved the breakfast method. You order it the night before and they serve it outside your room.

The shower had minimal pressure and was either very hot or cold.

Very Good

Friendly and helpful staff. Was a beutiful little homestay on a quiet street away from the bustle but close enough to walk around in Ubud.

My room didnt feel very fresh. Its hard in a tropical climate with limited drying abilities for linen etc. Aircon was broken, splurting dirty water on the floor and bed. This got promptly fixed, which I appreciate but didnt override the fact that it was leaking all night and was pretty dirty.

The place was a great value for the money. Perfect location, 3 min walk to center ubud. Free breakfast was amazing every morning. The staff was excellent. Had motor bike for rent on site and laundry service for a cheap onsite. Overall great place for budget traveler
